We developed a protocol to find charitable persons who are motivated by compassion rather than material reward. We look at the area within 20 minutes drive where the patient lives and contact Churches, Synagogues etc. We invite their principles to ask their congregation for volunteers to help with simple domestic tasks and provide companionship for (typically) some 4 hours per week. If one looks for them, there are many kind people in this world.
